Posted on February 8, 2012 at 11:35 PM

Today's march for truth and justice, remembering the 40th anniversary of 'Bloody Sunday', in Derry shows there is still a pulse beating!

The marchers were not intimidated by the Provo element in the six counties who tried to tell people that the march should no longer take place now that the British have apologised.

about two thousand people marched in the heavy rain to support the families of those who died 40 years ago when the British paratroopers went on a killing rampage and murdered 14 civil rights marchers.

The names of those who died are , Jack Duddy (17) , Hugh Gilmore (17) , Bernard McGuigan (41) , Gerald McKinney (35) , William McKinney (26) , Kevin McElhinney (17) , John Young (17) , Michael McDaid (20) , William Nash (19) , Michael Kelly (17) , Gerald Donaghey (17) , Patrick Doherty (31) and James Wray (22).John Johnston , died six months later from the gunshot wounds that were inflicted on him that day

Justice has not been done and no soldier has been charged with murder for bloody Sunday.
